Hi! We’re studio twin, a creative agency based in Leiden. Below, we’ve outlined how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. By accepting a proposal or working with us, you’re agreeing to these terms. Got questions? Just ask—we’re happy to explain!
1. When we work together
Our proposals are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
Once you confirm a project (or if we start working on it), the agreement between us is official.
2. What you can expect from us
We promise to give our best effort and deliver high-quality work within the agreed scope, specifications, and timeline.
If we need to bring in outside specialists (like developers or photographers), we’ll coordinate it for you and stay responsible for the final delivery.
If you ask for changes after we’ve started, we’ll let you know how it might affect the timeline or costs.
3. What we need from you
To keep the project moving, we need accurate information, assets, and materials from you—on time.
If delays happen because we didn’t receive what we need, we’re not responsible for missed deadlines or extra costs.
4. Delivering your project
We’ll deliver your project as planned, unless unexpected circumstances outside of our control arise (see Section 9).
Once we hand over the deliverables, you have 7 days to review them and let us know if there are any issues. If we don’t hear from you within that time, we’ll consider everything accepted.
Minor differences in design, colors, or functionality due to technical or creative limitations are part of the process and not grounds for rejection.
5. Ownership and usage rights
studio twin retains full ownership of all designs, code, and creative work we create, unless we explicitly agree otherwise.
After you’ve paid us in full, you’ll receive a license to use the work we created for your project. This license is non-exclusive and doesn’t include the right to resell or reuse it for other projects unless agreed in advance.
6. Payment terms
Invoices are due within 14 days unless we agree on a different payment schedule.
Late payments will incur a 2% monthly interest fee, starting from the due date.
If we need to hire a collection agency or take legal steps to get paid, you’ll cover those costs too.
7. Liability
We’ll take responsibility for direct damage caused by our actions, like critical errors in the project.
However, we’re not responsible for:
Indirect damages (e.g., lost profits, lost sales, missed business opportunities).
Data loss or corruption, security breaches, or hacking incidents unless caused by gross negligence on our part.
Issues caused by third-party tools, plugins, or platforms we use in your project.
Delays due to changes or missing information/materials from your side.
If something is our fault, our liability is capped at the total fee you paid for the project.
8. Cancelling a project
If you cancel before we start, you’ll owe 50% of the agreed fee as a cancellation charge.
If we’ve already started, you’ll be charged the full project fee.
9. Force majeure
Sometimes things happen that neither of us can control, like:
Power outages or internet failures.
Illnesses, strikes, or labor shortages.
Natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.
If these kinds of events occur, we might pause or end the project without owing compensation.
10. Confidentiality
We’ll keep any confidential information you share private and secure.
Unless you let us know otherwise, we might showcase the work we create for you in our portfolio or marketing materials.
11. Resolving disputes
If we ever have a disagreement, we’ll do our best to resolve it together.
If we can’t come to an agreement, disputes will be handled under Dutch law and by the court in our district.
12. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll let you know, and the updated terms will apply to all new projects from that point forward.
Thanks for working with studio twin! We’re excited to create something amazing with you. If anything in these terms is unclear or feels off, let us know, and we’ll work it out together.
